The European Families in Business Conference 2013

The leading top-ranked management journal “Management Science” has announced the publication of the paper “Gender interactions within the family firm”. Authors of the paper are Alessandro Minichilli, Mario Daniele Amore (both Assistant Professors at Bocconi University and collaborators of AIdAF-Alberto Falck Chair in Strategic Management in Family Business) and Orsola Garofalo of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

Using a large dataset of italian family-owned companies, the authors have found that the joint presence of women in CEO and governance positions significantly improves firm performance.
